H.C. Kirby

Hazel C. Kirby, 83, died Sunday, January 14, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Savannah and was retired as a baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertha Kirby, of Claxton.

He is survived by two sons, Samuel C. Kirby and his wife, Debbie, of Rincon, and Joseph L. Kirby, of Alabama, one daughter, Becky K. Sellars, and her husband, Larry, of Brooklet, three sisters, Bessie K. Yentzer, of Savannah, Elaine K. Doak, of Savannah, and Gladys K. McDonald, of Statesboro, two brothers, John Raymond Kirby, of Savannah and George Franklin Kirby, of Faulkville, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Brewton Cemetery in Hagan, Georgia.
